About Adventure LK

Adventure LK runs white water rafting, canyoning, waterfall abseiling and rainforest activities out of Kithulgala, on the Sabaragamuwa stretch of the Kelani River — the same rapids that have drawn rafters here since Sri Lanka's commercial rafting scene took off in the early 1990s.

We're a Kithulgala-based operation: our base sits on the Nuwara Eliya–Hatton Highway in Pitawala, a few minutes from the river and the Makandawa Forest Reserve trailheads. Every guide on our roster works the river or rock face directly with guests — we don't run trips by remote instruction from the bank.

Safety kit — helmets, PFDs, harnesses, ropes — is inspected each morning before the first group goes out, and retired on a fixed schedule rather than run until something fails. If the Kelani is running too high after heavy rain, we delay or reschedule rather than send a raft out to keep to a timetable.
